Support Our Mission

VMMHI’s mission is to serve Florida’s vulnerable communities, including veterans and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals. By equipping at-risk and underserved youth and millenials with 21st century survival skills in multimedia arts and computer technology, VMMHI creates an immediate and long-term positive impact around the State of Florida. We are able to reach the underserved in ways other organizations cannot.

Purpose

Uplift our vulnerable communities

We offer our target population positive alternatives to crime, recidivism, and substance abuse and bridge the growing cultural and technological divide that separates our high school-to-college population from their more affluent counterparts.

Empower youth and honor those who served

Our short and long-term goals include expanding existing programs, developing new programs, securing permanent housing, and becoming a self-funding organization.

Projects

Veterans'
Living History Project

For the past 13 years, the Veterans History Project (VHP) has been collecting the oral histories and personal documents of America’s war veterans, to ensure their stories are preserved in the Library of Congress so that future generations may better understand the realities of war.

Believe & Achieve
Multicultural History Project

This project helps students attain basic academic and social skills commensurate with their age and maturity, pursue educational goals, and develop marketable skills to assist students in obtaining and holding jobs in arts and technology-related markets.

Our Work in Action

Our Impact

VMMHI offers our target population positive alternatives to crime, recidivism, and substance abuse. By bringing equipment, materials, and teachers directly to locales in communities (museums, veterans’ nursing, community centers, schools, etc.), VMMHI is able to reach the underserved in ways other organizations cannot.
